How the trinity functions. God is the Father of all men by virtue of creating all. But he is only the Father in a personal sense of the redeemed. John 1:12 calls us sons of God, a term that identifies us as heirs with Christ. The Holy Spirit is a person not a cosmic force. John 14:16-17, The term Comforter is only used of a person. The Holy Spirit has all the characteristics of a person, mind, will and emotions.
